Chicken Biryani
Long-grain rice steamed under dough with saffron, whole spices and slow-marinated chicken. Break the seal and the whole table goes quiet.
Welcome to Jannat Restaurant & Lodge
Authentic Indian, Chinese and Nepali cuisine — veg and non-veg — prepared fresh every day with rich spices, premium ingredients and unforgettable hospitality.
Chef's Special
“Today's masterpiece from our kitchen.”
Handi sealed with dough at four in the afternoon. Two hours over slow coal, saffron milk poured through the crust, twenty-four spices trapped inside. When the seal cracks open at your table, the whole room turns around.
Stay the night
Jannat is more than a kitchen. Above the dining hall, warm wooden rooms wait for travellers, families and business guests — affordable comfort with the smell of dinner still drifting up the stairs.
Soft beds, hot water and quiet nights after a long highway day.
Gated courtyard parking for cars, jeeps and long-route vehicles.
Steady connection for business guests passing through Kanchanpur.
Clean linen daily, staff on call, comfortable for children and elders.
Our story

It started with one clay oven, a family recipe book and a road full of hungry travellers.
In Dodhara Chandani, dinner has never been just food. It is the driver who arrives at midnight and leaves warm. It is the birthday table pushed together for fourteen. It is the grandmother who tastes our dal and asks how we made it like home.
We buy vegetables in the morning, grind our own masala, marinate overnight and cook only when you order. Nothing sits. Nothing is reheated. That is the whole secret — and it is why people plan their journey around this stop.

Guest love
“We stopped for tea and ended up ordering biryani, momo and staying the night. The smell alone pulls you off the highway.”
“Butter chicken here is better than places I've eaten in Delhi. My children now refuse to pass Dodhara without stopping.”
“Clean rooms, warm staff, hot food at midnight. For a driver on the Mahakali route this place is a blessing.”
“The Thakali set tastes like someone's mother made it. Portion is generous and the achar is dangerous in the best way.”
